How it works
Why I built it
WaveMind was an opportunity to work below the browser layer and own a complete desktop product. It combines Windows-native development, real-time media handling, external API integration, and a user-facing workflow in one focused application.
Engineering focus
The project prioritises responsive feedback, clear runtime states, and careful boundaries between local audio handling and remote transcription. It demonstrates the ability to learn unfamiliar platform APIs and turn them into a coherent product rather than a one-off script.
Delivery evidence
The source repository is public and shows the implementation history. The project was designed, built, and shipped independently, making it a useful complement to professional work that cannot be shared publicly.
Security
- API credentials are kept out of source control
- Audio processing boundaries are explicit to support privacy review
- Errors and disconnected states are surfaced to the user
