Agreement overview
By using this website (jamieblair.co.uk) or engaging my services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or engage my services. These terms apply alongside any project agreement signed for specific work.
About me
This website is operated by Jamie Blair, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom providing AI consulting, automation, and software development services. For questions about these terms, email hello@jamieblair.co.uk.
Services
I provide AI automation, custom AI solutions, customer support AI, and consulting services to small and mid-size businesses. Specific deliverables, timelines, pricing, and payment terms are agreed in a separate project proposal or statement of work before any paid work begins.
A free initial consultation does not create an obligation for either party to proceed with a paid engagement.
Website content
The content on this website, including blog posts, case studies, and technical guides, is provided for general informational purposes. It does not constitute professional advice tailored to your specific situation. While I aim to keep content accurate and up to date, I do not guarantee the completeness or timeliness of any information published here.
Blog posts may reference technologies, pricing, and tools that change over time. Figures quoted in articles reflect the date of publication.
Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, images, code examples, and design) is owned by Jamie Blair unless otherwise stated. You may share and link to content freely but may not reproduce, republish, or sell it without written permission.
For client projects, intellectual property ownership is defined in the project agreement. Typically, the client owns all deliverables upon final payment. I retain the right to use general techniques and non-proprietary knowledge gained during the project.
Payment terms
Payment terms for project work are detailed in the project proposal. Standard terms are:
- A deposit (typically 30-50%) is due before work begins.
- The balance is due upon delivery, or in agreed milestones for larger projects.
- Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue.
- All prices are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Refunds and cancellation
If you are not satisfied with the work delivered, I will work with you to resolve the issue. My projects include clear success criteria defined upfront, and I fix any work that does not meet those criteria at no additional cost.
Either party may cancel a project with 7 days written notice. In the event of cancellation, you pay for work completed to date. Any deposit for uncompleted work will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the fees paid for the specific project in question.
I am not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from the use of this website or any services provided.
AI and automation systems involve probabilistic outputs. While I build in monitoring, testing, and human review safeguards, I cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for AI-powered systems. Success criteria and acceptable accuracy thresholds are defined in the project agreement.
Confidentiality
I treat all client information as confidential. I will not share your business data, processes, or project details with third parties without your explicit consent. Case studies published on this website are anonymised unless the client has given written permission to be named.
Data protection
I process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For details on how I collect and use data through this website, see my Privacy Policy.
For project work involving personal data, a data processing agreement will be put in place as part of the project agreement where required.
Third-party links and tools
This website may link to third-party websites and tools. I am not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance. For active project clients, I will notify you directly of any material changes.
